Your role in the value chain

You are a supplier if you supply packaging material or packaging to a manufacturer.

This applies when

  • you produce packaging elements and supplies them to a manufacturer (e.g. stretch foil)
  • you produce packaging on behalf of another business

Your key obligations

As a supplier, you must pass to your clients manufacturers) all packaging information and specifications required to demonstrate the conformity of a packaging/packaging material with the sustainability and labelling requirements under PPWR.

This information is crucial for your clients to prepare the mandatory technical documentation and the declaration of conformity.
